Co-Pastor
Jimmy Lloyd
The co-pastor at Fairlawn Church, Jimmy Lloyd was born and raised on the Treasure Coast, and he has a deep love for Fort Pierce. Jimmy loves speaking on Sundays and he always keeps it interesting, whether it’s with a live goat, actors in costume, or a graffiti laden fence, Jimmy is full of surprises.
Jimmy is married to the lovely and talented Julie Lloyd and together they raise a blended family of three children (two of them teenagers!), two dogs and four cats. Julie is a lover and protector of animals (especially cats), and she recently made her theatrical debut, acting in a hit play at the Pineapple Playhouse. When Jimmy is not preaching, planning or sprucing up the church, he works as a firefighter paramedic for Indian River County where he enjoys sticking his head out of the fire engine window yelling “Wee-Woo, Wee-Woo!” at all the cars in traffic. In his spare time Jimmy enjoys spending time boating on the river, rooting for the New York Mets, and listening to podcasts about old school wrestling.
Co-Pastor
Marc Aycock
Marc Aycock is co-pastor at Fairlawn Church, and he is a teacher by nature and at heart. He teaches a class at Fairlawn called Advanced Ministry Training (AMT) where he goes in depth on topics of the Bible and ministry leadership. AMT is very close to Marc’s heart as he loves sharing his knowledge and a father’s love. Marc is married to the entrepreneurial equestrian Heather Aycock, who runs her own business and loves riding horses. Together they have two girls and a boy. Heather will on occasion share a message on Sunday, and she leads Fairlawn’s women’s ministry with Diane Palm called “At the Well”.
In addition to pastoring, Marc is a wonderful carpenter. Being the builder and woodworker that he is, Marc has left his mark on Fairlawn from the handcrafted wooden walls in the sanctuary to the stage in the social hall and the well out front. Whether it’s building a house or a relationship with God, Marc has the tools for the job.
Associate Pastor
Pastor Rocky
Pastor Rocky Whiteside has been preaching for 46 years, and in that time has delivered over 7,000 messages in Florida and in exotic locales like Colombia, Brazil and Jamaica. But don’t let his age fool you, Pastor Rocky is still a spry young pastor at heart. A big reason for his vibrance is his wife of 40 years Ms. Linda Whiteside.
Ms. Linda is a veteran elementary school teacher, she spent years in children’s ministry, and she keeps Pastor Rocky on his toes. They host Crowns of Glory, a ministry for ages 55 and over, once a month, and they always have great homecooked food, stories, prayer and fellowship.
Pastor Rocky leads Bible Study on Wednesday nights, he volunteers at First Priority Gameday (teaching elementary school children), and he is a talented craftsman who built the tables in Fairlawn’s social hall and makes his own hand-crafted knives and leather sheaths at his home workshop. Pastor Rocky and Md. Linda have four children, 11 grandchildren and a cat named Polly (who turned Pastor Rocky into a “cat guy”. They love to entertain people at their home in Fort Pierce; Ms. Linda is a wonderful cook and Pastor Rocky is a great eater.
Youth Pastors
Pastor Kevin & Rachel
Fort Pierce native Kevin Taulbee is the newest (and youngest) Pastor at Fairlawn Church, but he makes up for his lack of years on this planet with his energy, enthusiasm and faith. As youth pastor here, Kevin and his new bride Rachel oversee the teenagers at Fairlawn, a group they call, “Savage Youth”. There is no question that this is a tough job, but the young couple get along great with the youth and embraced their roles right away. The teens love hanging out with Kevin and Rachel in the youth room or out by the picnic table, and there can always be laughter and conversation heard coming from their direction.
Kevin and Rachel bring with them to Fairlawn a wide range of talents and skills, and they were on display during the Palm Sunday service. Kevin delivered his first Sunday message at Fairlawn on Palm Sunday, the same day that Rachel led worship for the first time. The “Taulbee takeover” was a success, receiving high praise such as, “Y’all were on fire today!! Totally killed it!! Completely legit!!”
Ministry runs in the family for Kevin Taulbee; his mother Susan is a deacon at Fairlawn Church, his twin brother Ben is the Children’s Pastor at Spirit Life Church of God, and his little brother Landon is the head of the Cool Kids Club at Fairlawn. Kevin and Rachel met six years ago at Camp Wimauma and they married in November of 2022. They enjoy long walks on the beach, staring at each other for hours, and eating sushi. Kevin and Rachel live together in Fort Pierce with their black labradoodle Luna.
